Characterization of Solvable Groups and Solvable radical
We give a survey of new characterizations of finite solvable groups and the solvable radical of an arbitrary finite group which were obtained over the past decade. We also discuss generalizations of these results to some classes of infinite groups and their analogues for Lie algebras. Some open problems are discussed as well.
متن کاملA characterization of simple $K_4$-groups of type $L_2(q)$ and their automorphism groups
In this paper, it is proved that all simple $K_4$-groups of type $L_2(q)$ can be characterized by their maximum element orders together with their orders. Furthermore, the automorphism groups of simple $K_4$-groups of type $L_2(q)$ are also considered.

Theorem 1.1 (Kummer theory). Let m ∈ Z>0, and suppose that the subgroup μm(K) = {ζ ∈ K∗ : ζ = 1} of K∗ has order m. Write K∗1/m for the subgroup {x ∈ K̄∗ : x ∈ K∗} of K̄∗. Then K(K∗1/m) is the maximal abelian extension of exponent dividing m of K inside K̄, and there is an isomorphism Gal(K(K∗1/m)/K) ∼ −→ Hom(K∗, μm(K)) that sends σ to the map sending α to σ(β)/β, where β ∈ K∗1/m satisfies β = α.

For a finite group $G$, let $nse(G)={m_kmid kinpi_e(G)}$, where $m_k$ is the number of elements of order $k$ in $G$ and $pi_{e}(G)$ is the set of element orders of $G$. In this paper, we prove that $Gcong L_m(2)$ if and only if $pmid |G|$ and $nse(G)=nse(L_m(2))$, where $min {n,n+1}$ and $2^n-1=p$ is a prime number.

We classify pointed Hopf algebras with finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension, which are domains, whose groups of group-like elements are finitely generated and abelian, and whose infinitesimal braidings are positive.
